At the heart of regional transport

The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn plays a leading role in the management of regional transport from Visp to the Mattertal, Goms and the Gotthard region. It transports more than six million passengers each year on the route between Göschenen/Disentis and Zermatt. It operates the Zer-matt Shuttle between Täsch and Zermatt, which brings travellers from the Matterhorn Terminal Täsch to the vehicle-free tourism destination. The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn also delivers complementary services in the form of the Furka automobile transport service and freight transport to Zermatt. With the unique and internationally known “Glacier Express” tourist train, a joint product with the Rhaetian Railway, and with its own range of services, the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn aims to establish itself as the number one railway in the Alps delivering a one-of-a-kind experience.
